The Playstation Vita is still going strong on the indie scene with a new game or two from an independent developer releasing every Tuesday on the Playstation Network. It was already confirmed by Sony that a Vita port for the Playdead platformer Limbo was coming in the near future, but it was only confirmed today that it will be releasing on the Vita’s Playstation Network this Tuesday, June 4th.

It was also confirmed that the game will be selling for $14.99, the same price it sold for on XBLA, PSN (PS3 only), and Steam previously. Since then there have been price drops, but the starting price has always been $14.99. The Vita port for Limbo was handled by Playdead, the independent game developing studio responsible for the original LIMBO, as well as Double Eleven, one of the game studios that developed LittleBigPlanet Vita. Limbo will be celebrating it’s 3rd anniversary since it’s XBLA release on July 21st.

LIMBO is a gothic 2-D puzzle platformer originally released in 2010 by Playdead. Since release, the game has been recieved fairly well by critics and users (Metacritic score: 90/100) and has sold impressively for a digital download exclusive. The Vita port will be available for digital download on June 4th for $14.99.
